Feats of the Week 4
WROTE
- Ugh, what a week. Due to some technical limitations, I will no longer be offering the Supreme Compendium ebook and the Annual print book. Moving forward, you can now purchase Keeper of Lore Quarterly ebook zines. They are 20-30 pages each. This is how I originally got started with all of this. KOLQ is back! There are eight issues. That is two years worth of material. You can get them on the main website. Most of the tales and lore are still free here on the blog. There is some exclusive stuff in KOLQ though. It isn't essential to understanding the stories, but it is good stuff nonetheless. Getting all of this figured out and set up is all that I got done this week. It was a lot of work. But not writing new stuff makes me feel unproductive, even when I got a ton of work done. Thanks for reading!

PONDERED
- Frank Fritz, of American Pickers fame, passed away. I'm not a fan of reality shows. The only ones that I ever liked were American Pickers and Mythbusters (if that counts). I also don't really form parasocial relationships with celebrities. I don't follow their doings other than the things that they make. But Pickers got me into antique collecting. I really formed an appreciation for all that old stuff by watching the show. In this way, Frank Fritz (and the other people on the show, in front of the camera and behind the scenes) had an actual tangible impact on me. Rest in peace.
- Simpsons Season Premier: I’ve often wondered how they’re going to end the show. The season premier this week seemed like a great way to handle it. I'm surprised that they used up this idea on a regular episode. I suppose that means they have an even better idea for how to end the show, whenever that happens. We’ll see how that works out.
SORCERIES
- I have a completed Candle for the Dead album that I will release in the not too distant future. I made almost every song with the Sonicware LoFi-12 XT. It is a fantastic piece of gear. Sonicware has really proven that they can design amazing instruments that don't break the bank. They have some limitations, but for the price... wow. I started a new Crenels song on the LoFi XT. The orchestral samples aren't great. They are fine for most genres of music. But their clarinets and oboes, for example, aren't good enough for a dungeon synth melody. I made the last two EPs with the Yamaha MODX8. I'll be using that again for the next one.
