PONDERED
Regarding the tragic deaths of the player’s characters last week: one player asked if he could play as a non-human ancestry. Linomnount only has humans. If a living creature isn’t a human or a wild animal, they are a Terror and not eligible to be a player character.
I had an idea. I don’t want to deprive them of the fun of playing as an elf, dwarf, orc, etc. You get certain perks if you do. But there are negatives as well.
I decided that they could determine their background and use that as a “race.” He was thinking of being some sort of ranger.1 I said that if he wanted his character to be from a rural setting, then he could make him elf-like. Better at nature stuff, etc. The only limit is that he is still human and cannot have non-human abilities that humans don’t have. He will have to take the negatives that come along with that too.
SORCERIES
- I tried to release Candle for the Dead - The Promise Was the Chain. But the Internet Archive was hit with a serious DDOS attack and has been unavailable.
Savage Worlds doesn’t have classes. You pick your skills and edges based on whatever you want your character to be capable of doing.↩
