Finder Cloudburst Chapter 7, Part 3
“I am concerned about
the Lich, Typhoon Mistridge,”
Wren said. “I sent him
far from Fleagrass.”
I thought back to my first
adventure wherein I
accidentally
brought a Lich home.
Wren Icemud saved Fleagrass.
With her powerful spells
she battled Typhoon
and flung him far.
“Could he have survived a
fall from such lofty heights?”
Tick asked. “No one could
have survived that.”
“A Lich could survive that,”
Wren replied wryly. “For
a mortal wound is
still not fatal.”
“Typhoon’s body must be
utterly undone, to
even the smallest
mote,” she uttered.
“I want to discover
where Typhoon’s flight ended.
He could be causing
trouble out east.”
Nightmares still haunt me where
that dead man hounded me
flinging fire, seeking
to murder me.
I shuddered and then said,
“Wren, you are brave to do
this frightening task.
Be safe out there.”
Wren put her hand on my
shoulder and laughing, said,
“Grub Cloudburst.
You will come too.”
“You will do this job for
no pay, since you are the
one responsible
for freeing him.”
“Tick may join us if he
dares,” Wren said, eyeing him.
“No, I do not dare.”
Tick said slowly.
“I wish you good luck and
will pray for your success.
But now I must go.
Fare you well, Grub.”
“I understand,” I said.
"You have no duty here.
Enjoy your pay, Tick.
I will return.”
