Finder Cloudburst Chapter 8, Part 3
“All good things turn evil,
this is a Lich’s life,”
Wren said to these folks.
“We will help you.”
“We hope that you succeed,
but be wary, for we
sent warriors to
destroy the lich.”
“He slew them with great ease
and returned to his work
of harming with help,”
they said to Wren
The travelers left them
as they fled from Bearbat.
Wren and I pressed on
to find their foe.
I then voiced my concern,
“The lich, Typhoon Mistridge
could not be killed by
his old captors.”
“He did not perish when
you flung him far away.
How will we kill him?
Can it be done?”
Wren replied with a wink,
“Trust me Finder Cloudburst.
I know many things.
I am ready.”
We arrived at Bearbat
just as the sun vanished
behind hazy hills
purple and gray.
This must be another
fishing town, a river
flowed nearby, Icebrunt’s
eastern border.
Single story stone homes
reminded me of our
own homes in Fleagrass.
It was quiet.
