I purchased a shipment of blankets from you. I intended to sell them in Slatemire. I do not know if you have heard the news yet but that village has been destroyed. My people and I arrived in Slatemire today and we were greeted by utter devastation. The buildings have all been severely damaged. Every citizen is missing. In fact, every living thing is gone. Not even the shade trees in the park survived. There is dust everywhere. It is a very bizarre situation.
We returned to Treelin City with our merchandise. I wanted to converse with you by letter before traveling all the way back to Craftlin City. What do you propose that we do with these blankets? I understand that this situation is not your fault and it is not your problem. But I am in a serious bind here. I have too much money wrapped up in this merchandise.
Would you be willing to let me return the blankets? I would accept a slightly diminished refund for your trouble. Or perhaps you might have other leads? Do you know of other markets where I could move these blankets?
