in old Goodbrine
which was sacked long ago.
The ruins now serve
as a good camp
for those that travel far.
Nomads would meet here

raiding was not allowed.

made this place safe for all.

blending of animals.

to slay them with magic.

But they are reckless

A giant had crushed
half of Twigstar
then Stormcraft Cult arrived.
They struck at the foe
with black lightning
the giant’s corpse toppled.
The massive bulk fell
upon Twigstar
killing people beneath.
The carcass remains
rotting right there
amidst the survivors.
Sprybull ruined too
by a giant
no place is safe from them.
I also heard tell
of a new horde
not bound to a village.
The Reform Weavers
are gathering
people in Icebrunt’s south.
I spoke with two folks
representing
a new Weaverism.
They told me that these
roaming giants
were sent by the Children.
They are punishment
for failing the
Holy Embroidery
They claimed it their task
to reform the
old Weaverism ways.
Appease the Children
praying for aid
begging their forgiveness.
If we do better
giants will leave
and end the punishment.
Reformers are fools.
Old ways are best.
Tradition served us well.
People cannot choose
the ways of gods
or what they want from us.
