The Book of Temples Chapter 4
There were places in
the temple tower
where food and drink were produced.
They created drink
beer, mead and whiskey
that were intoxicating.
Lavish foods were made
to celebrate him
the Child God, great Lord of Feasts.
Myrtaro’s Feasts were
vile, grueling ordeals,
designed to torment eaters.
Overindulgence
was forced upon them,
feasting far beyond limit.
Lord of Feasts enjoyed
watching his People
eat and drink ‘til they were sick.
The People below,
living on the ground,
were not permitted to feast.
Nor had they enough
to fill their stomachs.
Sufficient foods were quite scarce.
This was by design.
The Lord of Feasts watched
overjoyed by suffering.
The People outside
envied those inside.
The same was true in reverse.
Each group did not know
that all did suffer
to please the great Lord of Feasts.
