The Book of Temples Chapter 51
Wise Vengeance led his
People away from
the slopes of Only Mountain.
Southeast they wandered
the Child God leading
whither he would not reveal.
They travelled so far
and found a vast lake.
Hill, wood and plain surrounded.
Wise Vengeance ordered
his People to build
a temple near the lake shore.
While builders labored
Wise Vengeance then taught
others to hunt animals.
Their meat and their skins,
fur, feathers and more
would provide safety and food.
Clothing and shelter,
tools and household goods
derived from their sacrifice.
They built small outposts
scattered in the wild,
places for hunters to rest.
A single village
sat near the temple
where Wise Vengeance’s folk lived.
