A tall woman,
stained with blood,
exhausted eyes examined each
of the newcomers. She said,
“You will perish
if you enter Springburr.
A vicious wind slays any
person that dares
to walk the streets.”
Beetle said, “We fled from
Bloody Winds
in Tundraslug and Lograt.
We appreciate your warning.”
She nodded and said,
“My name is Torn
and I am in charge.
Our ruler was slain by the wind
and still remains where he fell.”
