Torn asked,
“Sir, what is your husband’s name?”
River responded,
“Root Moonskull.
We share that last name.”
“My last name is Icebrunt
and it is good to know you.
I am so sorry it happened this way.”
Tears clouded River’s eyes
and Shrub gasped.
Torn Icebrunt caressed
River’s arm and whispered,
“Your husband is dead,
slain by the Bloody Wind at your feet.
Though it may bring you no peace.
Root is avenged.”
