The Moonskull Verses Canto 31
River sobbed,
“I cannot see that.
I will remember him
as he was,
in youth and vigor,
not now as he rests in death.
Root! If your ghost tarries
here in Springburr,
know that I love you
and will see you
in the After World.”
“Go free to view the sun
and embrace the moon.
Dash across mountains
and burrow deeply.
The forest calls you.
Go forth to cavort
with deer and rabbits.
Be free and be at ease!”
