The Unfated Wanderers Canto 18
The Unfated Wanderers cautiously crept towards the compound where the Stormcraft Cult researched their dark and dangerous magic. The building resided beyond Stormcraft village, on the other side of Lake Slowmelt in the Barleyburr Hills.
Opting for an opportunistically open window, they tossed a grappling hook inside and scaled the wall. Being unfated, luck climbed with them, for their goal resided within this room. A single book contained all of the information that Unbe desired. The item claimed, Billet and Vilerend sought their escape.
Stormcraft cultists cascaded into the room, a flood of foes facing the intruders. Their egress eclipsed, the Wanderers drew their weapons, slew their foes and flew from the room. With many wizards slain, the survivors forced them from the building. Vilerend and Billet stood their ground but were immediately overwhelmed. The wizards feared them so greatly that they used the magic that kills giants. Having no defense, the Unfated Wanderers fled wildly into the wilderness.
